      Historic Latta Plantation is a circa 1800 cotton plantation and living history farm, located within Latta Plantation Nature Preserve.  Tours of the Latta home are guided, and tours of the grounds are self-guided.

May 17-18, 2008 Chair Caning Workshop  Participants must come both days, and will learn the art of chair caning.  The cost is $55 per person, and this includes the chair and necessary materials (the chair is yours to keep).  Register soon- class is limited to six people!  Contact Rachel Hooey at 704-875-2312, ext. 303 or rhooey@lattaplantation.org for more information.  Click here to register!  Only 1 slot left- register today!

May 21, 2008  Spring Homeschool Day

May 24, 2008  Living History Day  Watch history come alive as living history demonstrations are provided across the plantation!  Activities will vary from open-hearth cooking, dyeing, carding, spinning, woodworking, blacksmithing, and more!  Regular admission applies: $6 for adults $5 for seniors (62+) and students, ages 5 and under are free.
