Cherry  Pie




  ¾  cup  Juice from Cherries
  1  cup  Sugar
  2  tbl  Quick-cooking Tapioca
  3  cup  Canned pitted tart Red Cherries
 10 drop  Red food coloring
 3-4 drop Almond extract

  1       Pastry for 9-inch lattice top pie
  1  tbl  Butter
 
 
 

Combine first 6 ingredients and dash salt; let stand 20 minutes.

Line 9-inch pie plate with pastry; fill with cherry mixture.

Adjust lattice crust; crimp edge high.

Bake in hot oven at 400° for 50 to 55 minutes.
