Choc-Oat-Chip  Cookies



 1  cup  Butter or Margarine
 1¼ cup  Brown Sugar [firmly packed]
 ½  cup  Sugar
 2       Eggs
 2  tbl  Milk
 2  tsp  Vanilla
 1¾ cup  All purpose flour
 1  tsp  Baking soda
 1  tsp  Salt  [optional]
 2½ cup  QUAKER OATS
 1  pkg  Semi-sweet chocolate morsels
 1  cup  Nuts  [coarsely chopped, optional]
 
 

Heat oven to 375°.  Beat butter and sugars until creamy.

Add eggs milk and vanilla; beat well.

Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.  Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well.

Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 9-10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12-13 minutes for a crisp cookie.

Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
