Round  Steak  &  Gravy




 1½  lbs  Round Steak  [tenderized]
 1   med  Onion  [sliced]
          Salt
          Pepper
 
 

Trim fat from steak and cut into serving sized pieces.

Season steak with salt and  pepper and cook in small amount of oil, on high heat, till browned.

Reduce heat, add water, onion, salt and pepper to taste.

Cover and cook on low heat 1 to 1½ hours or till steak is tender.

Serve over  cooked rice.
 
 

TIPS FROM THE KITCHEN:

You can thicken gravy by mixing 1 tbl flour or cornstarch with ¼ cup water and adding to gravy during cooking time.  Stir and add water as needed.
