Sausage  -  Beef  Jambalaya


  1  lb    Sausage  [cut into ½ inch slices]
 1  lb    Ground Beef
 1  med   Green Pepper  [chopped]
 ½  cup   Chopped Green Onions  [chopped]
 5  clove Garlic  [minced]
 1  can   Tomatoes  [28 oz, undrained]
 ½  tsp   Salt
 ¼  tsp   Pepper
 1  cup   Rice  [uncooked]
 1½ cup   Water
 

 Cook sausage in Dutch oven until browned; remove sausage and discard drippings.

Add ground beef, green onions and garlic to Dutch oven; cook until beef is browned.  Drain.

Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and sausage.

Cover; simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender.

Serves  6 to 8.
