Stuffed  Cabbage  Rolls




 1  lb   Ground Beef
 ½  lb   Ground Pork
 2  tsp  Salt
 ½  tsp  Pepper
 ¾  cup  Cooked Rice
 1  sml  Onion  [grated]

 2  can  Tomato Sauce [8 oz]
 12 lrg  Cabbage leaves
 2  tbl  Wesson Oil
 ¼  cup  Brown Sugar
 ¼  cup  Lemon Juice
 
 

Combine first 6 ingredients with l can tomato sauce.

Soak cabbage leaves in boiling water 4 minutes.  Drain.

Place equal amount meat mixture on each leaf and roll up, fold ends over and, fasten with toothpicks.

Brown in hot oil in heavy skillet.

Mix remaining sauce, sugar and lemon juice and pour over rolls.

Simmer covered 1 to 1½ hours, basting occasionally.
