Swiss  Steak




 ¼  cup  All Purpose Flour
 ½  tsp  Salt
 ¼  tsp  Pepper
 2  lbs  Round Steak
 2  tbl  Butter
 1  can  Tomatoes  [8 oz]
 ½  cup  Onion  [minced]
 ¼  cup  Green Pepper  [minced]
 
 
 

Combine flour, salt and pepper.

Sprinkle half the mixture on one side of the steak and pound on.

Repeat for the other side, cut meat into pieces.

Melt butter in skillet and brown meat.

Cover tightly and simmer 1 hour.  Add  water if necessary.

Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.

Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until tender.
