Historic Latta Plantation will be looking to fill internship rolls throughout the year. We are looking for candidates with a passion for history and education who work well with students. All interns will learn the basics of day to day operations within the historic site including tours, gift shop operations, special event planning, education programming, and summer camp coordination.

Event Coordinator & Interpretation
Historic Latta Plantation is searching for a full-time salaried employee with a background in history. This person must be self-motivated, organized, works well with others, great public speaking skills, and easily work with school-aged-children. Having experience in reenacting or event planning is ideal. This person must be able to plan, orchestrate, manage, execute, and assess public events on behalf of Historic Latta. Position requires weekend and occasional after-hours. Looking for a professional who can hit the ground running and bring in exciting new ideas while continuing to host annual events i.e. Civil War Reenactment and 100 Years of Christmas.
Historic Latta Plantation is searching for a part-time employee with skills in caring for livestock and poultry on our living history farm. Care-giving to all animals (including a cow, mule, donkey, cat, a heard of sheep, a flock of chickens, and a couple turkeys) and opening the site for morning programs will be demanded daily. This skilled individual is required to have experience with large animals and an extensive knowledge of carpentry and general maintenance in efforts to sustain our outbuildings and grounds, including the kitchen garden.
