Frontiering Workshop for Homeschoolers

November 10th, 2016 (10am-2pm)

This event is now entirely full : Check out the next children's workshop, Colonial Music on December 10th

When pioneers and frontiersmen set out into the uninhabited backcountry they packed with them skills that helped them set-up camp, forage for food, and survive along the journey. Kids will have a blast as they get nitty-gritty with nature and learn fire-starting using flint rock, learn to identify edible plants, participate in woodworking, as well as a scavenger hunt among other activities. Participants will have the opportunity to make and take-home a woodworking craft and keep a fire starting kit.

This workshop is for students only and operates rain or shine, non-refundable. Pack a lunch and dress for outdoor activities.
