Revolutionary War Living History Weekend

On, February 1st 1781, Lord Cornwallis and about 5,000 British soldiers crossed the Catawba River at Cowans Ford on the North side of Mecklenburg County. Major General William Lee Davidson, along with around 500 militiamen, were on the opposite bank to give a  thunderous welcome.  What is known as the battle of Cowans Ford erupted.
