The Latta Board Needs You!
As a non-profit, Latta is structured with a Board of Directors to oversee and support the organization. Our board members are a very dedicated group of people from the community, with a wide array of backgrounds. Board members meet every other month to review Latta’s operations and finances. However, our board members are also dedicated volunteers who support the site beyond these meetings. We are looking for new board members! Last year our board planned and hosted the first Latta Friends and Family Reunion Fundraiser. This year, in light of the recent funding cut from the Arts and Science Council, the board is sponsoring a Latta Fund Drive.
The Fund Drive will kick-off during the Revolutionary War Reenactment on September 3rd and 4th and continue through May 31st, 2017. The Fund Drive Goal is $15,000! We hope that you will stand beside Latta and help us to reach this goal. All donations are tax-deductible. At a time when our nation seems to be forgetting its own history, Latta seeks to teach and interpret it to many thousands of visitors and school children each year. We believe that understanding our nation’s foundation and past are critical to ensuring a strong America for future generations.
